Describe views
Graphical kubectl describe-style panels for Kubernetes resources, rendered as VS Code webviews.
Open a describe view
- Right-click a supported resource in the Kube9 cluster tree.
- Choose Describe (or click the resource when describe is the default action).
- Review structured sections for status, spec highlights, events, and related metadata.
Supported kinds expand over releases (Pods, Deployments, Services, Secrets, ConfigMaps, PVCs, PVs, StorageClasses, Nodes, CronJobs, DaemonSets, StatefulSets, and others—see the extension README for the current list).
Form and YAML
Many resources also offer Form and YAML tabs in the same webview for quick edits alongside read-only describe sections.
Privacy
Describe output is fetched through your kubeconfig. Secret values may be masked or omitted per kind; nothing is sent to Alto9 servers.
